Chubbs, Prongle, Nacho, and Maple just landed in PAWS’ ringworm ward, they’re spooked at the prospect of spending the whole duration of their treatment at the shelter. Email to foster these friendly gents, or learn more about adopting them at our adoptions page (link in bio)!. These sweet grandpas are in a temporary foster home until November 17, and are eager to find a foster or forever home before then so they won’t have to come back to the shelter. When he isn’t sleeping or canoodling, he also likes to hold a squeaky ball in his mouth like a pacifier □ Cody is a very mellow and gentle boy who is slightly more independent, but still loves his snuggles and isn’t shy about moseying over to ask for some affection! They follow each other around and do enjoy sharing space, but also spend plenty of time doing their own thing (aka napping in whatever spot they deem comfy)!Ĭobalt (all black) is the more enthusiastic extrovert of the duo, and likes to nuzzle his gentle head and snout into you to shower you with kisses. In foster care, Cody and Cobalt have been described as “kind of like an old married couple” due to their chill and mellow natures. They seem to find comfort in being around one another, and both absolutely love people. They’re looking for a foster or forever home where they can stay together and keep the love fest going!Ĭody and Cobalt ended up at PAWS after their owner sadly passed away, and have been coping with the transition as well as two peas in a pod could. These bonded brothers are about ten years old, and have lived together for most of their lives. It usually takes 4-8 weeks to clear, and we offer twice weekly “dip days” so they can get the medicated baths they need at our Grays Ferry location.Ĭalling all senior dog lovers! Cody and Cobalt are ready to steal your heart (and a spot on your couch). Ringworm is a mild fungal infection of the skin, but because it’s contagious to people and pets, having a separate room for fosters is the best way to prevent it from spreading during treatment. If you’re looking to skip the kitten craziness, consider taking home Maple!Īll of these cuties are available for temporary foster care or for adoption, and we’d love to tell you all about them! Email to learn more. □ Maple: this former mama cat is 4-6 years old, but acts like a baby herself! Frisky, social, and very affectionate, Maple is at risk of getting overlooked by potential fosters or adopters just because she’s not a kitten, which would be a real shame given how sweet she is. Basil is currently playful, outgoing, and very friendly, but he could backslide if he has to spend his formative weeks at the shelter without any friends to keep him company! □ Basil (fka Chubbs): this itty bitty boy is only 6 week old and all alone, which means he’s at a critical time in his socialization and development. He’s very snuggly in spite of being unwell! □ Prongle: *most urgent!* This poor guy is 3 months old and trying to fight a kitty cold on top of his ringworm, but he’s feeling really crummy and urgently needs a home to recover in. If you have an extra space in your home for an affectionate kitten or cat, any of these sweet friends would be overjoyed to finish their treatment with you! Our ringworm babies have been hoping someone will come sweep them off their feet, but it’s been crickets since our last plea! One of our cats luckily tested negative in the interim, but Prongle, Basil, and Maple have weeks of treatment ahead of them that will go by much faster if they’re out of the shelter.
